How do I download a video?
Simply paste the video URL into the input box on our homepage, wait for the preview to load, select your preferred quality (Video or Audio), and click the Download button. The file will be saved to your device.
Do I need to create an account?
No! 2Down is completely free and doesn't require registration. Just paste the link and download.
Is 2Down really free?
Yes, 2Down is 100% free to use. There are no hidden fees, subscriptions, or premium tiers (currently). We believe in providing accessible tools for everyone.
Supported Platforms
Which platforms are supported?
2Down supports over 1,000 platforms including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram (videos/reels), Twitter, Facebook, Vimeo, Dailymotion, and many more. If a platform isn't working, please contact us!
Can I download Instagram photos or TikTok photo posts?
Currently, we support video content. Photo carousels and image posts are not supported due to platform restrictions. We're working on adding this feature in the future.
Why isn't my video downloading?
This could be due to several reasons: the video might be private, age-restricted, geo-blocked, or the platform may have changed their API. Try copying the URL again or contact us for help.
Quality & Formats
What video qualities are available?
We offer all available qualities from the source platform, including 4K, Full HD (1080p), HD (720p), and lower resolutions. The available qualities depend on what the original video offers.
Can I download just the audio?
Yes! Switch to the "Audio" tab after the preview loads, and you'll see available audio formats (typically MP3 or M4A). Perfect for music or podcasts.
Will the video have watermarks?
No! We download the original video without adding any watermarks. However, if the source video already has a watermark (like some TikTok videos), we cannot remove it.
Technical Issues
The download is very slow. Why?
Download speed depends on several factors: your internet connection, the video file size, and server load. Larger files (4K videos) naturally take longer. If speeds are consistently slow, please contact us.
Where do downloaded files go?
Downloaded files are saved to your browser's default download location (usually the "Downloads" folder). You can change this in your browser settings.
Can I use 2Down on mobile?
Yes! 2Down works on all devices including smartphones and tablets. The interface is fully responsive and optimized for mobile use.
Legal & Safety
Is it legal to download videos?
It depends on the content and how you use it. Downloading your own content, public domain videos, or content you have permission to use is legal. Downloading copyrighted content without permission may violate copyright laws. Users are responsible for ensuring they have the right to download any content.
Is 2Down safe to use?
Yes! We don't require any personal information, don't install software on your device, and don't store your download history. Your privacy and security are our priorities.
Do you store my downloaded videos?
No. Videos are temporarily processed on our servers and automatically deleted shortly after download. We don't keep copies of your downloads.

Can I download multiple videos at once?
Currently, you can download one video at a time. Batch downloading may be added as a premium feature in the future.
